| ASMP exists to educate all photographers and students about the value of the creative image and the benefits of good business practices. By communicating the accumulated knowledge of our members, by presenting educational programs, by promoting and publicizing ASMP, and, above all, by increasing the involvement of our members, we strive to accomplish these goals and strengthen the credibility of our profession. The Baltimore Chapter is a regional group of photographers who meet regularly to discuss local issues that could help the members, i.e. new business practices, marketing methods and changing copyright laws, to name a few. |

Flashes of Hope is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses. The portraits, taken by award-winning photographers, help children feel better about their changing appearance by celebrating it.

Big stores, big photos
Is that the shopping center called Towson Marketplace? Could be, but the scene might as well be anywhere in America, the homogenized, one-size-fits-all vernacular architecture of contemporary consumer society.
Sofia Silva's large-scale panoramic photographs of big-box stores, parking garages and chain motels, on view at C. Grimaldis Gallery, are meditations on the landscape of desire, where people spend their lives shopping for food, clothing, electronic appliances and love. Details...

 Media: Photographers working in all still-photography media are invited to submit their images to the call for entries. Membership in The Center for Fine Art Photography is not required.
Eligibility: The exhibition is open to all domestic and international, professional photographers working with digital or traditional photography or combinations of both who are ASMP members or become an ASMP member prior to the deadline for the juried call for entries (March 4, 2008). ASMP membership includes General, Associate (Emerging Associate, Student) and Affiliate Members.
Juror: Kirsten Rian is an independent curator working with some of the worlds best photographers, and is active in the international photography community. She has coordinated more than 375 exhibitions, and 65 books and catalogues.
Exhibition and Awards: With selection for this exhibition, artists and their work will be seen by an international audience of collectors, curators, art consultants and others who appreciate the fine art of photography.

- Director's Selection award: $300
- Gallery Visitor’s Choice Award: $100
